The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress (Congressional Award Board of Directors) gives the Horizon Award a special recognition. The Horizon Award is given to individuals from the private sector who have worked in enhancing opportunities for everyone Americans. It also honors those who have set exceptional models for youngsters through their achievements in life. Tom was a wonderful player, and was grateful to be part of such a skilled and experienced group. He was able to practice and working hard when his Magnum schedule permitted .... Tom was very patient with us all, and we enjoyed the large crowds, which replaced the smaller number of family members and friends at the National tourney games. ".
